Just had an amazing stay at this beachside hotel with my boyfriend. Our room had a balcony with an incredible sea view. Everything worked perfectly, though the light switches were a bit confusing at first. The staff were the friendliest and most attentive we’ve ever met. They really made our stay special. We missed out on the spa, but we've heard the massages are fantastic. Book a few days in advance if you want one. The location is ideal – peaceful and relaxing, but just a short walk to the center for more action. We had a great time and didn’t want to leave. Definitely planning to come back!

We came to Porto Recanati as a base for a wedding that we were attending in Loreto. We had a lovely, secluded little room (006). It was very comfortable, but the room can get muggy and warm if you leave the front door open or sunblind up too long. The hotel has a beautiful beachside location (literally). Location is great for the beach and a selection of nearby supermarkets, but it is a 10-15 mins walk to the main part of Porto Recanati. It is a wonderful feeling coming down into the lobby, seeing the blue glimmer of the Adriatic, then stepping outside onto the terrace that faces the sea. Took aperitivo at the hotel one evening which, although a bit expensive, was tasty, convenient, and with unlimited snacks. One annoying thing was the stupid touchpad to operate the lights in the room – very fickle and an unnecessary gimmick when normal light switches would have been fine. Would certainly recommend if you want a true beachside hotel with a real sea feeling that lets you relax. Nearby Loreto is a must.

We booked 2 nights in Life Hotel, expecting a 4 star experience reflected in the cost - €150 per night including breakfast. It fell well below our expectations, worst of all being dinner in the restaurant on the night of our arrival. The real positive of our stay was the breakfast and the staff working at that time - they were wonderful. Our room was comfortable but lacked anything that could be considered 'deluxe' - apart from the fancy lighting system perhaps and a really good shower. The bed was comfortable. A large balcony in our room had 2 upright chairs and a coffee table with an ashtray - more relaxing furniture would have made it a place where you could chill out, watching the sea. There was no such zone to be found anywhere in the hotel. The lowest point was dinner - don't order the hummus as it's a tiny portion and not hummus at all but puree chickpeas with not even a hint of tahini. I ordered fish - branzino gratinato - it was terrible, could have been frozen but was definitely over-cooked. My husband had ravioli most of which was uneaten as it was like cardboard. The side of vegetables was also a sorry affair and went back almost untouched. All of which drew no comment from the waiter - service was perfunctory at best. When we complained to the reception staff they smiled and nodded, nothing more. And then on check out, I was informed that there was an extra charge for parking in the hotel garage - it was the first time I'd heard of the charge and in a hotel asking €150 per night I would have expected it to be included. The spa is also extra, by the way. So, if you're looking for 4-star standards look elsewhere. (we had a fabulous meal in hotel Bianchi Nicola on our second day).

we spent 3 days in the hotel. the first thing we noticed was that the hotel had a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness. good service from staff, who actually manage to speak English..something that is rare in Italy. Only negative was that the shower had some leakage. it was not completely tight. we also regretted a bit that we did not choose a room with a balcony facing the sea. The ones we traveled with had this and they had a great view. if the hotel had room for a swimming pool we would have given the full score. but space for this is probably not possible

La camera che mi è stata assegnata, dépendance 10, non era assolutamente da hotel a 4 stelle! Il bagno aveva le pareti completamente macchiate dalla muffa per mancata manutenzione, il condizionatore era sporco e non generava un flusso di aria costante (andava a singhiozzi). La camera non è isolata acusticamente e si affaccia sulla ferrovia, dove a partire dalla mezzanotte e per tutta la notte, passano i treni merci. La colazione è scarsa e non prevede il cuoco a disposizione. Le foto della stanza in fase di prenotazione non rispecchiano minimamente lo stato reale, siete una truffa!

All'arrivo mi rifilano una stanza al di fuori dell'edificio principale senza finestra affacciata sul retro e sulla ferrovia dove passano treni a tutta velocità per tutta la notte. Un incubo. Altro che seaview. Ah si, c'è la spa, a pagamento e su prenotazione. Ovviamente fully booked. Bella fregatura Meriterebbe una stella ma ne do una alla colazione in riva al mare e una alla signora gentilissima e sorridente che me l’ha servita

Avevamo alte aspettative per questo albergo, purtroppo non sono state rispettate. Anzi, siamo di fatto rimasti delusi. La prima camera che ci è stata assegnata, oltre ad essere al di fuori della struttura (depandance), non presentava neanche una finestra. C’erano ragnatele sulla porta, polvere sulla televisione e la bocchetta del condizionatore puntava proprio sul letto. Visto il prezzo speso, abbiamo segnalato tutto alla receptionist che con molta pazienza, gentilezza e professionalità ci ha trovato una stanza nuova. La stanza nuova era migliore, ma comunque il minimo che ci si aspetta da un albergo 4 stelle (ad esempio shampoo e balsamo erano insieme, non c’era sapone intimo e mancava la ventola nel bagno cieco). Inoltre il ristorante molto molto semplice e propone sempre gli stessi piatti, sia a pranzo che a cena. Buona la colazione e in generale il personale sempre professionale. Ottimo il servizio spiaggia.

Prenotato junior suite pagando ovviamente una bella cifra essendo anche alta stagione ma il problema non è il prezzo quanto i servizi e la camera che per essere una junior suite è minuscola, si sente il treno e ha una vista su parcheggio e ferrovia.. che delusione. Alla reception nessuna informazione.. sono stata in 3 stelle molto migliori, il Life per essere 4 stelle a quasi 300€ a notte diciamo che c’è parecchio da rivedere. Altro piccolo suggerimento: almeno con le camere deluxe, junior suite, suite l’ingresso alla spa dovrebbe essere incluso .. invece costa 25€ .. davvero una tirchieria, peccato ! Tornerò ? Non penso
